The Robbinsdale Parks
Department is responsible for the maintenance and repair of the City's fourteen parks
totaling 110 acres, park development, improvement projects and operations. Park
development and acquisition funding is provided through the City's general fund,
government grants and donations from civic and non-profit community groups. Robbinsdale
residents, community groups and businesses may "Adopt-a-Park." This program
gives residents a way to contribute to a cleaner environment by lending a hand to keep
parks clean.

groups for their efforts to keep our parks clean: Brownie Troop #12833, Compass
Lodge #265, Cub Scout Pack #141, Cub Scout Pack #442 (Sacred Heart), ELL North, Girl Scout
Troop #12834, LDS Church, Lennon Family, North Hennepin Kiwanis Club, North Memorial
Medical Center, Robbinsdale Human Rights Commission, Robbinsdale Lions, Robbinsdale Little
League Association and Sacred Heart School.

Triangle Park's wading pool is now closed
for the season. Tentatively scheduled to open June 14. Dont' be disappointed...Make sure
and purchase your pass before going to the pool.
Manor Park's splash pad is open Mid May to
Mid September, weather permitting. Water hours are 10 am to 8 pm daily. Water may be
turned off on occasion due to maintenance issues, signs will be posted when necessary.

The Fitness Center
facility includes a large gymnasium and an extensive exercise room. Family and individual
membership are available for purchase, as well as daily fees. Rentals are available for
large and small group activities also. Gym &

The programs and
activities offered by the department provides diverse opportunities to the residents of
Robbinsdale and the surrounding communities. A wide variety of leisure activities are
designed to meet the needs, interest and abilities of all residents. The Recreation
Department offers a wide variety of athletic programs for youth and adults. Click on

recreation programs are offered to over 7500 registrants. The senior program offers a
senior club, trips/tours, special events, classes and volunteer opportunities. The Five
Cities Senior Transportation provides rides for shopping, senior activities and senior
dining.
The Robbinsdale City Band
is made up of a 15 member marching band and a 60 member concert band. Over 25 concerts and
10 parades are scheduled annually.
The Recreation Department
sponsors and/or gives support to the historical museum and the Robbin Gallery museum
housed in the Robbinsdale Historical Library at 4914 42nd Avenue No.
The Robbinsdale Historical Society meets
at the Public Safety Building, 1:00 pm on the 4th Tuesday in March, April, May, September,
October and November. Members have published several books which may be purchased at
either the Historical Society Museum or at Robbinsdale City Hall. For more information,
