Robbinsdale Police Arrest Suspect After Shots Fired

 

The Robbinsdale Police Department responded to a report of shots fired on the 3800 block of Regent Ave N on Saturday, 8/27/11, at approximately 11:52 PM.  Upon arriving officers learned the suspect had fled the scene after discharging a shotgun at two individuals inside a residence.  A perimeter of the area was maintained by officers from multiple surrounding agencies.  Officers searched for the suspect and found him hiding inside a nearby residence where he was taken into custody.  He has since been charged by the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office with two counts of felony 2nd Degree Assault.  

 

As a general reminder, we depend on the observations and willingness of our residents to call 911 anytime they see something suspicious or have information we would find valuable. Your help is critical to our success. Working together, we can keep Robbinsdale a safe place to live, work and visit.

 

This incident provides another opportunity for us to disseminate information through our Crime Alert notification system to keep our residents informed on recent criminal activity and our response to it.
